Welcome to the “I Wear White Pants After Labor Day” website! My name is Stacy Pursell, the founder of multiple business ventures. I am CEO of The Pursell Group and The VET Recruiter, the leading Animal Health and Veterinary executive search and recruitment firm, as well as Therio Partners, the leading high-end executive search firm in the Animal AgTech and the full Pet Healthcare ecosystem. I have spent the past 25 years as an Executive Search Consultant and Professional Recruiter, and as a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) and Certified Employee Retention Specialist (CERS), I am ranked in the top 1% of search consultants worldwide.
However, this website is not all about me. It is about other women. It is about how I want to help empower women in the employment marketplace and the world of business. I want to provide advice and insight based upon my experience, as well as valuable resources provided by other successful businesswomen. I believe that women should “build each other up” instead of “tearing one another down,” and this website is a testament to my belief in the potential of women in the workplace and the many amazing things that they can do. (And that I have already seen them do!)
This website is built upon the idea of barriers—breaking the barriers, that is. I am talking about societal barriers or rules that are in place that should be broken, that need to be broken, because they stand between you and your goals and dreams. And in their place, you can write your own rules, and do what you are passionate about.
Earlier in my career, a co-worker told me that I could not wear white pants after Labor Day. It was not the first time that someone tried to tell me what I could not do. I enjoy wearing white pants and I chose not to listen to that person, and I have chosen not to listen to other people, some who did not have my best interests in mind. That incident was the genesis for this website, as well as the catalyst for a book that I am currently writing. I hope that you enjoy what I have to say about these topics, and I hope that I get to hear what you have to say. Because it inspires me and others to hear these success stories.
